Bio: John Tinguely serves as both Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Westwind Computer Products, Inc., and its subsidiaries. John also serves as a member of the Westwind Board of Directors. John earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from New Mexico State University and is a graduate of the United States Navy Supply Corps School in Athens, GA. He is a decorated USNR Officer (LCDR, retired) and a Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist (SCWS). John has more than 30 years of combined military and civilian experience in finance, logistics, contract management, and consumer services across several industries including: retail, construction, staffing, food service, manufacturing, and information technology.

Q. What do you do, and how long have you been doing it? I have been steering the company鈥檚 operational and financial objectives, for over 10 years now.
Q. Why did your organization become a Member of The Open Group Open Trusted Technology Forum and what does/will your involvement look like?
Westwind wanted to align itself with a professional standards organization to help it achieve greater compliance with policies, processes, and procedures. Further actively sharing best practices and engaging at the highest-level during Forum events.
Q. How has/will membership in The Open Group benefit you, your organization, and the industry at large?
Greater knowledge around Secure Supply Chain and Cybersecurity standards.
Q. Why is it important for other organizations to join The Open Group? Improve the organization鈥檚 ability to align around and set standards while striving to adhere to the precept of continuous improvement.

Hiking, skiing, climbing, and remodeling/construction.
