The Company Review process is the formal process by which The Open Group measures consensus around a document in order for it to become a standard of The Open Group. See of the Standards Process. Reviewers are invited to review and submit proposed changes ("Change Requests") that would make the document acceptable to become a standard. A formal ballot then decides which changes are accepted.

The stages of a Company Review are as follows:

20.0 In the Company Review Period         
30.0 At the Issue Resolution Stage         
35.0 Balloting Period         
38.0 Further Issue Resolution         
39.0 Resolutions (being) Applied by the Editors         
40.0 Sanity Review Period         
47.0 Ready to Submit to Governing Board         
48.0 Submitted to Governing Board         
49.0 Approved by Governing Board         
50.0 Submitted for Executive Approval         
59.90 Approved Publication Pending         
60.60 Published
