Open Platform 3.0 Members' Meeting
Objective of Meeting
The objective of the meeting was to progress the O-DEF V2.0 standard, and promote increased Forum membership.
Summary
We worked through the text of the new O-DEF V2.0 standard, and made minor corrections ahead of submission for publication. We were also joined by Chris Parnell, from The Open Group Business Development Team. Outside of the members' meeting, we contacted Henning Schleyerbach of the Digital Container Shipping Alliance to discuss how the O-DEF, O-MI, and O-DF standards might be used in shipping and logistics.
Outputs
We discussed and validated the O-DEF V2.0 text, and discussed the changes that have been made from Version 1.0. The text is now ready for submission to the standards process, and given that we have all reviewed it, we hope it can be moved quickly through for publication.
Having discussed the recent developments of the Forum with Chris, we hope that he will respond soon to our questions with a draft business strategy so that we can discuss how to progress the membership of the Forum.
Henning Schleyerbach of the Digital Container Shipping Alliance responded very positively to our discussion of how the O-DEF, O-MI, and O-DF standards might be used in shipping and logistics.
