San Francisco, CA - August 29, 2024: The Open Group, the vendor-neutral technology standards organization, will host its annual Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) in Huntsville, Alabama, on September 16, 2024. The event will bring together industry experts, government officials, and technology enthusiasts to exchange ideas, share best practices, and foster collaboration in shaping the future of airborne, sensor, and related systems.
The theme of this year’s meeting is MOSA (Modular Open Systems Approach) in Practice. MOSA is a strategic standardization initiative by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) that requires the thousands of products and systems the services acquire every year to work together more productively.
With a focus on interoperability, modularity, and affordability, the event aims to drive the development and adoption of open standards that enhance the capabilities, efficiency, and effectiveness of military and aerospace systems.
During the event, attendees will learn how MOSA benefits from the FACE® and SOSA� approaches. Panel discussions will focus on topics such as the impact of MOSA on the warfighter, the usage of MOSA Principle Certify Conformance, and how FACE and SOSA open standards are being used in development efforts.
