Security Forum Members' Meeting

Objective of Meeting

The Security Forum Members� Meeting at The Open Group Houston Summit 2024 had the following goals:

  • Determine the relationship among Standards and supporting guidance within the emerging Security and Zero Trust Body of Knowledge
  • Consider several proposed Projects and their value within broader Security Forum activities and publications
  • Consider discussion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within Security Forum Projects and implications for a possible project on security and AI

Summary

The first half of the Security Forum Members� Meeting focused on discussion of published content by the Forum and their interactions. These documents included:

  • Open FAIRâ„� Body of Knowledge:

This discussion was intended to inform the possibility of formalizing a Security and Zero Trust Body of Knowledge that describes how these Standards and other in-development deliverables work together.

The second half of the meeting emphasized possible new activities in the areas of Cyber Risk Quantification (CRQ), information security management, security architecture, and Zero Trust and Zero Trust Architecture, as well as collaboration with the Open Trusted Technology Forum around supply chain security and (cyber) supply chain risk management.

Outputs

Security Forum Members committed to finalizing in-development documents for publication in the next 6-12 months, deliberately ensuring harmony among them as the Security and Zero Trust Body of Knowledge is formalized.

Next Steps

Security Forum Members will devote required time to existing Projects and activities to ensure they progress as planned and will determine forming additional Projects to address new deliverables.
