Open Trusted Technology Forum (OTTF) Members' Meeting

Objective of Meeting

The Open Trusted Technology Forum (OTTF) Members� Meeting at The Open Group Houston Summit 2024 had the following goals:

  • Determine areas of overlap between supply chain security and Zero Trust
  • Continue progress on the current Projects and activities in the OTTF

Summary

The first half of the OTTF Members� Meeting focused on discussion of the intersection of supply chain security and Zero Trust, with the Security Forum Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) Working Group Members being invited to the first half of the OTTF Members� Meeting for this. The group identified several areas of intersection:

  • The need for trustworthiness products procured to implement Zero Trust and the possibility for attestations and/or countersigners to inform this
  • The need for customer organizations to have clear procurement requirements

The discussion identified that the Security Forum ZTA Working Group should review the and Zero Trust Reference Model Snapshot, Version 1.0.

The second half of the meeting focused on continuing development of a new version of the . These revisions are informed by a previous supply chain security concerns survey sent by the OTTF and design thinking sessions to translate these into risks and corresponding threat vectors, as well as corresponding best practices to address them. These update to the O-TTPF will eventually result in updates and enhancements to the O-TTPS.

Outputs

OTTF and Security Forum ZTA Working Group Members committed to reviewing each other’s documents to identify areas of overlap and allow future collaboration.

The OTTF will pursue scheduling an in-person Members-only working meeting focused on continuing development of a new version of the O-TTPF.

Next Steps

OTTF Members will devote required time to existing Projects and activities to ensure they progress as planned and will consider the relevance of Zero Trust to supply chain security.
