Summary

The meeting presented a summary of status for the Forum's activities, including the Work Groups. It also discussed strategies to broaden awareness of the Forum’s activities beyond Enterprise Architecture, improve member engagement, enhance recognition for contributions, and receive updates on the Artificial Intelligence Work Group, as well as the TOGAF® and Agile Work Group.

Welcome and Introductions

Richard Gornitsky welcomed attendees, outlined the meeting objectives, and facilitated introductions.

Officers Update, Forum Overview, and Recognition

Richard Gornitsky provided an overview of the Forum’s recent activities and direction, emphasizing the need to increase awareness of the Forum’s role beyond Enterprise Architecture.

He also introduced new initiatives to recognize member contributions across various engagement levels, such as advocacy, support, and technical expertise. Proposed recognition methods included digital badges, commendations, service awards, and even a points-based system redeemable for merchandise. The discussion also covered the potential rebranding of the Data Integration Architecture Group to focus on “interoperability architecture� to align with broader industry needs.

Artificial Intelligence Work Group Update

Aaron Rorstrom shared insights on the AI Work Group’s progress, detailing initiatives that align AI development with The Open Group architecture standards.

AI Data and Ecosystems

Ron Schuldt extended the AI discussion, highlighting the importance of data ecosystems in AI and the challenges of achieving interoperability across companies.

TOGAF and Agile Work Group Update

Chris Frost and Richard Gornitsky presented updates on integrating TOGAF and Agile methodologies, outlining current progress and future goals for alignment within The Open Group Standards.
