Objective of Meeting

The Assured Dependability Work Group (ADWG) Members Meeting at The Open Group Houston Summit, 2024 had the following goals:

  • Provide an update on progress made to the Open Dependability through Assurednessâ„ Framework, also known as the O-DAâ„ Framework, to move it to Version 2.01
  • Discuss the security use case being included in the O-DA V2.01, including use of the Zero Trust Commandments Standard, Zero Trust Reference Model, and Open FAIRâ„ Body of Knowledge
  • Align on initial marketing material for inclusion on ADWG webpages on www.opengroup.org and a data sheet

Summary

The first half of the ADWG Members Meeting focused on discussion of updated and new content in the O-DA since the previous Members Meeting at The Open Group Edinburgh Summit that occurred in April 2024. This included a use case that demonstrated the value of using the O-DA Framework in identifying and remediating gaps during development and design phases rather than after implementation, including for security requirements.
The second half of the meeting focused on brainstorming content and presentation of marketing materials for the ADWG and O-DA Framework to convey their value to Members and non-Members of The Open Group. This content will feed into web pages on www.opengroup.org and into a data sheet for the ADWG, and the ADWG will work with The Open Group Marketing Team for further opportunities.

Outputs
